NOMINATION & ELECTION NOTICE
IBPO LOCAL 731
Nominations for the offices of President, Executive Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are now being accepted by Election Officer James Rucidlo. These four (4) offices will constitute the Local 731 Executive Board. All nominations must be made by 12 p.m. Thursday, January 31, 2019, on Nomination Forms and Nomination Acceptance Forms provided by Election Officer Rucidlo. Forms can be obtained by contacting the Election Officer or by downloading from the IBPO website at http://www.ibpo.org/help-on-the-job. Forms must be returned to Election Officer Rucidlo by 12 p.m. on January 31, 2019, by mailing to James Rucidlo, IBPO, 159 Burgin Parkway, Quincy, MA, 02169; by fax to James Rucidlo, 617-472-7566; or by email to email@example.com. Election Officer Rucidlo can be reached by phone at 617-376-7266. Nominations received after 12 p.m. on January 31, 2019, will not be valid.
Additionally, you now have the opportunity to elect a District Vice President from your district who will serve in an advisory capacity. You must be assigned to the District for which you are making the District Vice President nomination. Also, the candidate you are nominating must be assigned to that District too.
Candidates for office must be members in good standing for one (1) year as of January 17, 2019. All members in good standing may nominate a candidate for any of the four Executive Offices. A person nominated for more than one position must select the office of their choice; no person may run for or hold more than one office. The term of office is three (3) years. Write-in ballots and absentee ballots will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of a member making any nomination to ensure that their nominee returns a Nomination Acceptance Form by January 31, 2019. Ballots for the election of officers will be mailed to all members on or about February 5, 2019. To be eligible to vote, you must be a member in good standing as of January 31, 2019. Ballots will be picked up from the U.S. Post Office, located on Main Street in Cromwell, Connecticut, at 12 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019, and will be tallied immediately thereafter at the NAGE/IBPO Regional Office, 346 Main Street, Cromwell, Connecticut. In the event of a tie vote for any office, ballots to resolve the tie will be mailed immediately following the tally and counted on March 15, 2019. Members are welcome to attend.
