Nominations for the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are now being accepted by Election Officer Karl Baer. All nominations must be made by 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 27, 2021, on Nomination Forms and Nomination Acceptance Forms provided by the Election Officer. You can get additional Forms by contacting the Election Officer or downloading from the IBPO website at  Forms must be returned to the Election Officer by mailing to Karl Baer, IBPO, 159 Burgin Parkway, Quincy, MA, 02169; by fax to Karl Baer, 617-472-7566; or by email to Election Officer Baer can be reached by phone at 617-376-7232. Nominations received after 12 p.m. on July 27, 2021, will not be valid.
All members in good standing may nominate a candidate for any office. Candidates for office must be members in good standing for one (1) year as of April 27, 2021. A person nominated for more than one position must select the office of his or her choice; no person may run for or hold more than one office. The term of office is three (3) years. Write-in ballots and absentee ballots will not be accepted. It is the responsibility of a member making a nomination to ensure that his/her nominee returns a Nomination Acceptance Form by July 27, 2021. Ballots for the election of officers will be mailed to all members on or about July 29, 2021. To be eligible to vote, you must be a member in good standing as of July 27, 2021. Ballots will be picked up from the U.S. Post Office, located in Quincy, Massachusetts, at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, and will be tallied immediately thereafter at NAGE National Headquarters, 159 Burgin Parkway, Quincy, Massachusetts.
