More than two dozen police lieutenants in Anne Arundel County, Maryland are clamoring to join the IBPO, and a county councilor there is championing a bill that would let them.
“Anne Arundel supervisors have been so pleased with the service they’re getting from the IBPO that their lieutenants want to join,” said Paul Birks, IBPO national vice president. “I hope that the county commission sees the value in keeping a stable, trained police force and supports the bill.”
