Mini-Budget Bill Signed into Law

Governor Patrick on Friday signed into law a mini-budget that will fund collective bargaining agreements for IBPO Locals 399 and 432A&B. The locals represent police officers at UMass campuses at Dartmouth and Amherst.
The bill includes $10 million to pay for higher costs associated with a new health care contract at the Department of Correction; the biggest item in the mini-budget, at $23 million, pays for collective bargaining agreements that have been ratified, including for those for the IBPO Umass Police locals.
